Scenic and visual artist of Rromani (gypsy)-Lebanese origin born in Mexico City. She is a choreographer, dancer and singer specialized in linking Rromani, Arab and Mexican cultures (Rom).
Member of the National System of Art Creators FONCA-Sría de Cultura 2016-19 and from 2019 to the current date, she is part of its board of directors.
Phd in Critical Theory from the 17, Institute of Critical Studies, with a specialty in Aesthetics (2020). Master degree in Arts and Design from ENAP-UNAM. (2013), Postgraduate in Cultural Management and Cultural Policies (2010) OEA, Metropolitan University and FONCA / CONACULTA, Bachelor´s degree in Graphic Design (1993) University of the New World. She is currently studying Landscape Architecture at the British School of Creative Arts and Technology, in order to link Dance and Nature in a single continuous and reciprocal practice.
Lila Zellet-elías is internationally known for the solidity of her artistic and academic work, which reincorporates the Arab-Andalusian roots as a substantial part of the Mexican identity. Her multidisciplinary training has led her lead expressions considered as “ethnic” to new territories of exploration that include the contemporary scene. In her research Lila integrates the oral tradition of her origin cultures with the contemporaneity of the present moment, developing a choreographical voice that dilutes borders through movement

Since 2017, the EAC has been building new scenarios that disseminate the global goals of sustainable development and promote actions around global policies.
Artistic director and organizer of the two consecutive editions of the Al Andalus International Encounter in Mexico (2019 and 2021) (www.alandalusenmexico.org), international and interdisciplinary summits created in order to know, recognize, recover, document and share the Andalusian legacy of Mexico.
From 2003-2021 she has been the artistic director, singer and dancer of the Ensamble Egiptanos, which leads the multiculturalism of Mexico and the artistic expression of various peoples in resistance.

Artistic director and choreographer of the Ensamble Al Mosharabía (2004). Founder and teacher of the Moorish School of dance, México (2003), dedicated to the conservation and dissemination of Arab, Mexican and Rroma (Gypsy) cultures as well as its actual production.
From 2010 to date, Lila Zellet-elías is a workshop leader and lecturer of international level. She has focused her work in Italy, Spain, Greece, Egypt, Colombia and Mexico.
She has conducted her research on choreographic and vocal forms and has developed artistic teaching programs. through cyberspace.
